ABOUT US

Monkey Tree English Learning Center was established in Hong Kong in 2009. There are currently 48 different locations spread across Hong Kong, with several more in 5 cities in China and Macau. Since its inception, Monkey Tree has grown to become perhaps the largest supplementary English provider for children between the ages 3-12. Our goal is to infuse a Westernized environment into our different locations to give children an opportunity to not only learn English the native way, but also to develop intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally.

What time will I start and finish my teaching shift?

A regular teaching shift on a weekday is from 2:30pm to 8:30pm, and on the weekends the shifts are from 9am to 6:30pm. There is dedicated meal breaks and admin time incorporated into your days, so you will almost never have to come in early or stay later than your scheduled shift.

Will I get consecutive days off?

This is determined by several factors, but due to scheduling limitations, we cannot guarantee consecutive days off.

What days will I work?

Your day off will depend on what your center assigns you, but teachers are required to work 3 weekdays and both weekend days per week.

Where should I live?

When you arrive in China, we will have a fully sponsored 5-day hotel stay arranged for you. In that time, our housing assistants will help you to find the best accommodation for you to suit your desired lifestyle. The typical flat in China goes for around RMB1,000-3,000, depending on your desired flat.

Do you provide housing in China?

No, but our housing assistant will make sure that you get an awesome flat that meets all of your needs.
